This TVC for the Australian Turf Club’s Autumn Carnival uses a stylised, double-exposure technique to highlight over 150 years of rich Australian racing history and tradition by visually merging the old with the new.

Two worlds are brought together by taking modern imagery of fashion, timelapses of the racecourse, and jockeys striving for a win, and overlaying these with historic racing images and crowds. The archival images were etched and projected to give them depth, and combined with a pastel colour palette and iconic images of Sydney and the tracks of Rosehill Gardens and Randwick.

The campaign draws on two of Australia’s biggest and most respected racing events, the Longines “Golden Slipper”, which is run for the 60th time this Sydney Autumn Carnival, and “The Championships”, the pinnacle of Australian racing held at Royal Randwick.
